  4. I am so happy to see the improvement over the shortest cord ever!!

  5. I really like the cord but it is a little too expensive for me. I can't justify paying almost $14 for a longer cord.

  6. Does it connect the Cricut to the Gypsy? That's what I need...

    ReplyDelete
  7. What a great idea!! So i can see the Gypsy plugged in, but am i right in thinking you can then plug the DS cord into the extension too? Can you show photos of how both go in?

  8. Kathy,
Yes this cord connects the Gypsy to the Cricut. It just makes it much easier!

    Alli,
The end of this cord is interchangeable with either the Gypsy cord or the Design studio USB cord. It is one piece of electronic equipment that you will use all the time!

Hope this helps answer your questions! You will just love it!

  9. "Do you use both the Gypsy and Cricut Design Studio and get tired of switching between two cords?
Well, do I have the solution for you!" (This is the bit i'd like more info on)

    ReplyDelete
  10. Thanks for answering!! Brilliant idea, I hate switching between the two cords all the time!

  11. Are these shipping right away? If I order today or tomorrow, when can I expect to have this in my hot little hands? This is genius ! Thanks for doing this for all the cricuteers out here.

  12. Debbie,
I am asking that you please allow 4-5 Business Days for the Processing, Packaging and Shipping. I am mailing all of the packages out using USPS First Class Mail. So you should recieve your package the end of next week/ beginning of the following week depending on where you live. You will recieve a shipping notification that your package is shipping as soon as the Package is ready for the mail.

Everyone's response has been amazing. It is funny...I knew how frustrated I was...I just did not realize how frustrated everyone else was too.

I hope that this helps answer your question. You will just love your cord when it arrives. Just a hint though...The sooner you order your cord...the further up in line you are to have it shipped. It is first order first ship. :-)

  13. I guess I still have a question - can you plug in both the Gypsy and DS at the SAME time? or must you unplug one to use the other. I think your answer to Allie was it was interchangeable, which indicates to me only one at a time, or am I misunderstaanding this?

    Thanks, Donna

  14. Donna,
The cord is interchangeable. It would confuse your Cricut to have both machines plugged it at once. It does allow you to not have to reach over your machine constantly though. It also gives you plenty of room to play with your Gypsy while your are Scrapbooking instead of having to unplug it just to be able to sit back and relax.

  15. I'm probably being obtuse here, but from the photos, it looks like your cord connects the Cricut to the Gypsy cord, rather than to the Gypsy itself. Is that accurate? I like the idea of a longer cord, but also need to replace my Gypsy to Cricut cord. The replacement cords are sold out on the Cricut site, and the electronics and office supply stores I have tried don't carry that cord...

  16. I would like to order this cord. Let me know if I am understanding this right. With your cord I can leave my gypsy plugged in all the time and still be able to use DS. No more plugging and unplugging???? Then I can cut on the Cricut from either Gypsy or DS? If the answer is yes I want one. Let me know quick.

  17. Jean,
What my cord allows is leaving the extension cord plugged in at all times.  You then have the ability to either plug on your Gypsy cord OR plug in your USB cord for your Design Studio.  My cord is 6 feet long so when plugged into the gypsy you have 9 feet of cord to be able to move around.  One end of the cord plugs into the Cricut and the other end has the same port as the back of the Cricut.  You can only plug in one cord at a time.

  21. I think this cord would be great and I plan on getting one soon...I would like to see a extension for the computer..every time I update my Gypsy I am afraid it is going to get knocked off. they should make those cords longer..Bettlarchipsy

  22. I'm confused. Is this cord only for the Gypsy? I wish my USB cable for the Cricut Design Studio was longer.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Wezzie,
This cord will extend either your Gypsy or Design Studio Cord. Which ever you choose to plug in to it! :-)

    ReplyDelete
  24. i wish we had something to plug into the cricut and 2 plugs on the other end so we could keep gypsy and design studio pluged in at the same time, hope that made sense.

  25. Kendra, Thanks so much for the quick turnaround. My friend and I received our cable and used it at our crop yesterday. What a timesaver. I hope to be sending you lots of business as we have a cricut SWARM each month. And the for the gals that think this is too expensive, it's really not! How about sharing the shipping w/ a friend?

  26. Just received mine and I love it! My friend and I used ours yesterday at a crop. We no longer are a slave to the powerstrip cord! There's never enough outlets at a scrapbooking store! For those that think it's too expensive, it's soooo worth it! I hope to be sending you more business as we have a cricut SWARM each month!

  27. Hi Kendra,
I received my cord in record time, I believe 3 days. I'm so happy I ordered this. I didn't realize how often I changed cords from the back of my Cricut.
Thanks so much for the great offer.

  30. Kendra, Thank you for such quick service. I ordered it on Friday and already had it on Monday! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE having the ability to move my Gypsy anywhere on my craft table and keep it out of the way of the Cricut and everything else I'm doing. It's great. I've even moved my Cricut out to the screenhouse on our deck and sit outside during the day to enjoy crafting in the sunshine and fresh air. Having the new cable gives me the option of putting the Gypsy anywhere on the big glass table I work on. Thanks again for the "freedom"! LOVE IT!!

  31. Thanks Kendra!!! Love, love, love this cord!!!

  32. Hi Kendra, this cord looks great. But by the comments that others are leaving, there is some confusion. I thinking a short tutorial video on how to use this would probably clear it up. I know I could use one, lol. Im a computer dork and want to justify a purchase, thanks for listening.

  33. this cord looks great.

my understanding is that it does NOT replace the cords that go into the DS or the G. Rather, it extends the "back" of the cricut into the middle of your craft table (6 feet) so that when you plug in D "or" the G, you don't have to bend over the machine to do that.

It's like those long orange extension cords you use for vacuuming out your car. You plug the orange extension cord into the wall in the garage, then plug the vacuum itself into the extension cord while you are in the driveway. Then you can vacuum. You need both, the orange extension cord and your vacuum's cord in order to use your vacuum.

Same with this cord. It allows you to extend the reach of the gypsy's or DS's cord.

(I need a replacement gypsy-to-cricut cord! If anyone knows where to get one, let me know! lol)

  34. OH MY GOSH!!!!! I need this BADLY!! THANKS SO MUCH!!! I just ordered and can't wait for it to arrive!!!!

  35. I am so glad to get this. I hate being restricted to the so so so short cable. now I can easily move from computer to expression to imagine without having everything on top of me. Can't wait for it to arrive.

  37. I really, REALLY love this cord !!! - and honestly thought I would have to pay about twice what I did when I started "shopping" for it. I have a U-shaped craft room - laptop/DS and Gyspy on either side with my Expression in the middle - lucky enough to have plenty of surface space in between stations. A longer AC cord for my Gypsy would make it perfect. Thank you !!!

  38. Hey everyone. I just recently bought a Gypsy and it was missing the Gypsy to computer cord :( The store will not let me return it and are "sorry, but really can't do anything about it" including just giving me a replacement cord so that I can actually use it! :( Anyways, does anyone know where I might be able to buy one?

  39. My boyfriend ordered this cord for me when he saw me rolling back and forth between my desk and the back of my Imagine and fussing. lol. used it last night and it's wonderful!

  42. I think this product is misrepresented. I thought it would connect my gypsy to my cricut as I had lost my original cord somewhere but it does not. It is useless to me with out my original cord & then I am not sure it will connect into it. Still need a cord that connects the gypsy to the cricut & I am out $14.00 for something I can't use. Suggest more pictures to show how you use it correctly or show the ends better.

  43. I am confused after reading the comments!! One end of the cord attaches to the Gypsy port with the other end connecting it to the cricut for cutting Gypsy projects? Please explain the ends of the cord. ex: one end will fit the gypsy cutting cable port, and/or the other end will fit cricut cutting port, or the other end will fit the USB computer port.

Libby, did you get a cable to connect the Gypsy to your computer? I have a camera to computer (USB port) cable that will fit the gypsy to be able to connect with the USB port. Email me red@starpoint.net if you didn't and I will give you info on the camera to be able to try to get one of these if you can't find one. I agree with the person who suggested a video about this cable and also close up shots of the cable ends would be very helpful also.

PS I tend to think radical and would love to see cords for connecting any two items with a short cable to connect to an item (ex: cricut/printer port) with and the other side a retractable cable end that connects to another item end (ex: Gypsy port). I have such a cable between on ear buds for a portable CD player and love that it can stretch out but can be retracted for storage purposes!!

  45. Is there anywhere in the UK where I can buy a replacement Expression lead.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Do you have any of the regular cords that connect the gypsy to the cricut. The cricut store has been out of them for months and i can not use my gypsy to cut without it. PLease let me know.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I lost my cord that connets to gypsy to the cricut expression. Is this cord just an extention or can it plug directly into the gypsy and then directly into the cricut?

    thanks!
