Kendra's Ultimate Scrapbooking Room Finally Finished!

So, a while back I gave you all a sneak peak of my paper wall.  Well, now is time for the big reveal!  After months of Cutting, Sanding, Glueing and Nailing and lots of Splinters it is finally finished and organized!  There were many times during the process that I thought that I would never get finished.

To answer the question before it is asked a dozen times.  The reason I have so many Cricut Machines is because I travel teaching as well as teach classes out of my home.  I bring machines with me while traveling to allow those who want to try out the Cricut out to see if it something they want to purchase. (9 out of 10 times they do!)  At my home I just ask people to bring their basic scrapbooking supplies and I provide the Cricut Machines.  It makes it so much easier for them and me.

Remember though, one of the machines is the Cricut Cake machine.

  12. Kendra...what can I say? It's probably a good thing I don't have that space in my home - if I did, my family would never see me! :) It is seriously awesome - congratulations on completing it! I want to come play there someday!

If I came to your house to play, I wouldn't know where to start. You'll need a half hour to give folks a tour before the crop actually starts!

  19. Kendra, what a fantbulous room! My space is not nearly as organized, or as large, but I know it is such a great feeling having a dedicated space in which to be creative. Thank you so much for sharing. I, too, have been waiting for the reveal!

I have just done my room up too and it's so exciting! my colours are red, white and lime greens. sounds funny but it works.

Do you do lessons from home? why do you have more than one cricut?
I live in Australia and I am thinking of ways to utilise my space to make $ I make invitations and match up with favour boxes etc. My fav cartridge is Once upon a time atm.

  22. Would love it if you'd post a lot of still photos of your room. The video doesn't work so well for older computers or slow internet connections. :( From what I can tell, the room looks great!

  24. Wow! I'm pretty much speechless! I've seen retail stores that aren't nearly as well stocked as your craft room is. In addition to teaching, do you sell things you make? One last question: what is the size of the room itself?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Seriously!!!!!!!!! That's amazing! I love the big table - I could really do some damage with a space that big :)

    ReplyDelete
  26. WOW! I have a nice "studio" for scrapping, but yours leaves mine in the dust! I love your table! I wish I had room for something like that.

  27. Great job! I try in my little craft nook to have the same kind of organization. You did yours similar to how I would if I had that amount of product...so functional! I think it's great and I hope you continue to have years of fun and get much joy from teaching classes and doing paper crafts!

  29. Oh my goodness! This is amazing. Is the reason you have more than one Cricut because you teach classes? I wish I could come and work in your room. It is wonderful. Did you have someone make the table?

  35. Who made the table and what did they use to make it? I can never find that perfect craft table and I've been wanting to create my own at some point. :) It's such an amazing room and I bet it's great for all of your classes!

    ReplyDelete
  36. All I can say is OH MY WORD!!! AMAZING ROOM!!! How super organized and neat everything is. Color coordinated, so much to see. Now we need to see you create something as you open each bin and show us the contents of each little bin so we can drool over our keyboards as we watch in envy. You must be so excited to have it done. I don't think I'd ever leave the room. I'd even have pizza delivered right to the room.

I designed the table and my neighbor and I built it. It was super easy to build. My main objective besides having storage from Cricut Machines under the table was to have a place that my children can play. This has both. The kids just LOVE their fort!

    Parmelee,
My paper shelving came from a Scrapbooking store that closed. The Tilt Bins came from both a Scrapbooking store who sold them since they did not need them anymore and Home Depot. The Clear containers my supplies are in came from Wal-mart. They are made by Sterlite and I think they are called Latch Bins. My Cricut Cartridges are store in Cropper Hoppers Large Embellishment Essentials container that I purchased several years ago although I do have some available to my students for only $14.99 each. Hope that helps you!

  49. Kendra-

Your room is gorgeous! I will have to show my husband the video. He built my scrapbook room. It was a true labor of love as he started it one summer after triple by-pass surgery and together we have gradually worked on it for the last 2-1/2 years till the custom made shelving went you last fall. From painting to flooring to the finishing touches. I know what it is like to chip away until it is finished. I'm sure you are so happy with the results. Hope you enjoy your room as much as I enjoy mine. It is a truly beautiful room!

  50. I'd love to know where you got your paper racks for the cardstock. I'd love some for my room but am not sure where to find them or who would have the best prices. Thanks and I love love love your room.

    lol,
    kat

10 expressions??? did i miss any?

    ReplyDelete
  53. The Fridge is below my Yudu machine. I do not have a microwave as I HATE popcorn! LOL! Seriously, I really don't allow eating in my scrap room unless it is a drink and something that if it spills it doesn't make a huge mess like M&M's and things like that. I usually provide lunch and dinners downstairs at the dinning room or kitchen table. Keeps everything much neater and you are less likely to ruin your page or someone elses page. :-)

I envy your paper racks. I really like that you can see most of your items or have the containers labeled.
If I can't see an item, then it will not get used. Does anyone esle have this problem?

  65. Hi Kendra-I'm one of 'The Jonesboro Four' that came to your house last summer. I was lucky to see your room before the renovation and once again I am struck by how much stuff you can get in a bonus room. I have a question tho, I know the room is over the garage, did you have to reinforce the floor joists to accomodate the load? The paper weight alone must be staggering. It turned out great, congratulations.
