May Arts Ribbonista Christmas Blog Hop!

It's Kendra here again with a May Arts Christmas Blog Hop

You should have arrived here from The Bald Dragonfly
Everyone projects are so amazing!  Be sure to hop through the entire hop and don't miss out on any of the days...these is much more to come on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday!
My project today is perfect for your own home or as a gift for a friends home.

You will need a few items:
May Arts Ribbon in the following colors:
Glass Block that has been predrilled
a Small set of Christmas Lights
Wire
Scissors
Wire Cutter

The first thing you are going to do it cut 2 lengths of ribbon to tie around your glass block.  I hid the first one at the bottom and the second one in the back, you could hid the tied part behind the first ribbon if you desire.

You will then push your lights carefully though your Glass Block Hole where it is predrilled.

Now you will make your bow and attach it to your ribbon on the top of your glass block.  I made a tutorial earlier this week showing how to make your bow.  You will find it here.  I use the wires to wrap around the ribbon to secure it well.

Plug your glass block light in and decide is this one is for you or a friend.  They are easy to store from year to year.

Be sure to leave me a comment on how you liked this project.  If you are not already a subscriber, take a moment to become one.  I love to share ideas and projects with you!

You are now going to hop on to Ling's Design Studio
If you missed yesterday be sure to check out the following blogs.

Merry Christmas and Happy Scrappin' from my family to yours!

I'm Creative...Quilt!

Hi, Kendra here again with another fun idea for all those Artsy and Messy Crafters out there!
I will be first to admit that I am one of them...I am a very creative and very messy Scrapper/Quilter!
When I am in the groove, paper or fabric goes a flying!
I will finish a project and sometime have to shovel my way out of my space.
So if you are like me, just know you are not alone!  :-)

What could be more fun than creating yourself a wall hanging with my favorite Quote and Motto on it?

I'm creative, please tell me
neatness doesn't count!

HERE is the Cricut Craft Room file for this project
HERE is the Gypsy file for this project.
(Note:  I have not double checked the Gypsy file as my Gypsy is having technical difficulties talking to my computer.)

For more details on how to make this wall hanging, head on over to Everyday Cricut.

This would make a great wall hanging for any craft room or as a gift.

What is your favorite quote you would like to see in a wall hanging?  I would love to hear them!  Who knows, I just might make one.  :-)

Be sure to come over to Everyday Cricut and Mixology Crafts to see more of my fun projects!

If you have not subscribed to my blog, please take a minute to do so.  I don't want you to miss out on any of the fun projects that I make!  :-)

Recipe Swap Revisited!

Hello Everyone!  It's Kendra here, and this week and I have been guest designing over at Everyday Cricut.  I decided today that my project was going to be a Cherry Crisp Recipe Layout.  Be sure to head on over to Everyday Cricut and check it out!

In creating this layout it made me start thinking about a recipe swap that I hosted several years ago and it made me want to revisit it.
I have been wanting to host another swap so I thought I would share the old swap with you all.  If you are interested in participating in a new swap, please email me as well as leave me a comment and I will email all the details to you.
I can't wait to get started!

The swap below has 200 different recipes!  I would love to hear what your favorite recipe is and why.
Be sure to leave a comment!  :-)

If you want to join the swap, you will be responsible for making around 10-15 layouts of the same recipe.  I divide the groups out so it is not overwhelming to anyone but me!  :-)

If you are interested in joining the Recipe Layout Swap, be sure to email me as well as leave a comment below so I don't miss anyone!

What was your favorite recipe shown?  What did you like about it the best?  I can't wait to hear your thoughts!
