Westcott Blog Hop!

I was so excited last month when the shipping people started ringing my doorbell! The first box I received was from Westcott; it arrived with a cutting mat, several pairs of scissors and a cutting knife. The second arrived from Duckbrand; it arrived with sheets of ducktape as well as Hello Kitty Tape, Gold Coin Tape, Pink Tape and Pink and Black Zebra Tape.  The third arrived from Velcro Brand with sheets and rolls of Verlco.  I could not wait to get started!

Today, I will be posting 2 projects.  The first project is made using  Duck Tape and Westcott Scissors and the Cutting Mat.  My BFF Shan made this project for me.  Thanks Shan!  Who knew that Duck Tape was made out of Latex? (Unfortunately, I have an anaphylactic allergy to Latex in any form.)  Shan was a true lifesaver!  She was so impressed how easily the Westcott Non Stick Scissors cut through the tape with no problem what so ever!  The mat was great for laying the tape out to work with.· Westcott Brand® Scissors are the WORLD’S FAVORITE SCISSORS™ meaning Westcott sells more scissors than any other manufacturer in the world!

The second project was reupholstering a Chair for my daughter Anika's bedroom. I used the cutting mat and knife for cut strips of fabric for the base of the seat and using my Cricut Expression 2 to cut out the Cat for the top of it!  The strips were cut in various widths.  I love how it turned out!

I am planning on painting the chair white in the near future but that will need to happen on a day that it is not windy!  :-)
