Happy Birthday Quilted Party Banner!

I had so much fun designing over at Mixology Crafts this week and creating a Birthday Banner for my youngest and oldest kiddos birthdays!  Abraham will be 10 on Saturday and Abigail will be 17 on Monday!  I am so proud of them both!  And before you ask, yes it is super hard to do 2 birthdays that are less than 48 hour apart this time of year!  The year Abe was born was super crazy as Abby insisted I was home for her birthday.  That, let me tell you, was no easy feat!  I arrived home about 5 minutes before she did.

They were not really amused with me this morning when I made them hold it for a photo in the chilly morning air.    Can't you see how irritated Abe looks!  :-)

Had to put this one on as Abby was getting really mad and did not want her photo taken and Abe was finally smiling for me!  All I wanted them to do was hold the banner straight where it did not sag.
Was that really asking too much?

Head on over the Mixology Crafts for the complete instructions

Happy Scrappin'

  6. That's so funny! Why can't kids and pets cooperate when you need them to? Love the banner. It's awesome.

  7. Hey Kendra,
It's Lorie, from your class last week in Columbia. I hope you are well.
Could you please email the info you have on the class, (the notes etc. that you told us about.) You know I need all the help I can get) LOL
It was nice meeting you and I really enjoyed all I learned. I need to find some time to play with my machine.
I really like your banner. You are so creative. Way to go!
    THanks,
    Lorie Harris

  8. I love the banner, Kendra. My son, 19, can be a pain for photos, but the teens at Church I work with are more cooperative, probably because they aren't mine ;- )
Did you do the free motion on your sewing machine? I love the colors you chose for the banner. I liked the clock you showed in an earlier post as well. 6 hours, you must just work faster than me. Thanks for sharing.
