Car Rider Hanger for Back To School!

So today is my 3rd day designing for Everyday Cricut and I am having a blast!  If you have not been over to check them out be sure to head there now!
Every year my children are car riders and every year without fail the school makes us have some sort of a sign for our car in order to be able to pick our children up. This past year it was a piece of yellow paper that you hung from the rear view mirror so they could just read your childs name instead of having to ask you every day over and over again. This year, I decided to take things into my own hands....I created an adorable Car Rider Hanger to hang from my rear view instead of the standard piece of paper. I made on for my neighbor and one for my car. I think I will keep the Lime Green one. :-)

I used the Cricut Expression, Cricut Design Studio, Straight From The Nest and Cricut Keystone Cricut Cartridges as well as various cardstocks by American Craft and of course, Tombow Mono Aqua Liquid Adhesive Glue.  I did use ribbon on the top and that is not included in the directions.  Also, you will need to hide the contour for the inside of the hanger before you cut this out.!!!

Have a wonderful day and be sure to check back Everyday this week for more adorable Back To School Projects for you to make for the kiddos in your life!

Happy Scrappin'!

  2. What a spectacular idea! Why didn't I think of that? I used my label maker and put it on the outside of my passenger window. That is so much better. Then, you can remove it when shopping and running other errands. I love it.
    Going make it right now!

  3. Since you are picking up two kids maybe you should consider two birds on the branch.

    Cute!

  4. These are absolutely adorable. We need them when we pick up our grandchildren, so I'm making several! Since you used a bird, I must say: they are "bird-i- ful"!

  9. I love this idea. My son is also a car rider and the school gives us these less than attractive name tags for our cars that we have to stick in the windshield. The design you have is perfect it will allow the teachers a beter view of the childs name. I will pass this idea along to the school so next year they can use it if they so desire.

  10. My kids school never made us post a sign for car pick ups, but it is such a great idea! I love how you took it that extra step and "Cricut'ed" it out! Thank you for sharing your wonderful ideas!

  12. This happens to be the cutest idea I seen lately. I wish we would have had Cricut Expressions back when my sons were growing up. We missed out on an opportunity to style such a cute hanger!!!
